I saw a meteor last night — a really long, bright one, very cool to watch. I went out around 10 p.m. for the Perseid shower and waited five or ten minutes, and didn’t see anything, till that one flashed overhead really quick — less than half a second. I called that Mission Accomplished and went back inside.

that’s really awesome! I haven’t seen a good meteor shower in a few years now…last big sky thing I saw was the solar eclipse last year. Wasn’t in the path of totality, but pretty close. it was still amazing.
Cool! Sounds like fun. Someday I’d like to be somewhere that the sky actually goes dark during a total eclipse. I don’t think I ever have been …

I knew it! We’ve all been uploading everything to the Cloud(s), and they’re blocking our meteors. Has science gone too far???
