One side-effect of reading so much philosophy lately, is that I realize how self-centered my life usually is.
Take this blog, for instance. I’ve rambled and raved about topics that interest me, when I should be thinking about you, my readers. The text exists for its audience, not its author.
So I’m making a few changes, to put the focus back where it belongs: on you.
First, I’m cutting out my poems and 40-minute stories. Those ranked dead last on a recent survey, and it’s time I acknowledge that. I’ll still write them, of course, I just won’t burden you with them any longer.
The survey also said posts about philosophy and ethics are the most popular, so I’ll focus on those. But I realize now that I’m approaching those topics all wrong. Dry, straightforward posts like Artificial Intelligence and Nietzsche have no relevance for the younger generations. I need to focus my discussion on topics they care about. For instance, the Kardashian spinoff, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, provides an ideal lens for discussing such Nietzschean concepts as the Will to Power (as they transcend traditional ideas of decency) and Eternal Recurrence (as they return to the same topics over and over, often within a single episode).
As for the AI, I’m excited to announce that it will begin playing a much larger role in the blogging process. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I’ll feature posts auto-generated by the AI itself! I’ve programmed it to write about my usual topics, with an additional focus on the hot topics in Google Trends. Here’s a sneak-peek of tomorrow’s post:
Heidegger and Reality Televisions
We can often find it difficult. But since this week, many of you are asking: what about philosophy philosophers AI blog Pope Francis? Yes! Let’s discuss.
Leave a comment if you wish to discuss We can often find it difficult. But that’s about you!
Obviously, it’s not perfect yet, but it’ll get better as it “learns.”
Finally, with all these improvements, it should be obvious I’ll leverage my growing popularity to generate a little income. Blog membership is available at a very reasonable price, and offers many benefits – more on that soon! But don’t worry, you can still read for free. You may get the occasional popup reminding you about the membership deals, but that’s it! (For now.)
Anyway, I hope you’re as excited about all these changes I am. Let me know in the comments!
And, of course, Happy April Fools’ Day.
